Artificial sausage casings were introduced by some intrepid food pioneers in the early years of the 20th century but artificial casings have never replaced the use of natural hog casings, such as the ones from Weston we are selling here (model 19-0301-W. Edible and all natural, these casings are ideal for sausages that can be grilled, smoked or dried. These casings come in a vacuum-sealed pouch with a zipper so you can dole them out as needed. Stuffed casings have an average diameter of between 1.25" to 1.38" (32-35mm. This vac zipper bag of casings is enough for fifteen to twenty pounds of sausage.
