This all-purpose 20 Qt mixer from General (model GEM120) has been especially designed for heavy duty use in commercial kitchens. Driven by heat tempered carbon steel gears, the GEM120 planetary drive provides consistent mixing, blending and aerating of all your ingredients and is well-suited for large scale production. The operating switches of this mixer are resistant to moisture, an essential feature in a busy kitchen. Purchase of this mixer includes a wire whip, beater paddle, spiral dough hook and a stainless steel bowl. E.T.L. and Ul safety listed, this mixer comes with standard safety features: a magnetic lock guard that shuts off the power when the bowl is lowered or the safety cage is opened, and a power overload switch safeguarding the 1.5-Hp mixer motor. The bowl is raised and lowered via a manual lever that locks when raised to the top position. The air-cooled, grease-packed motor will not need lubrication and provides for a quiet operation. With three preset speed settings (R.P.M. rates of 108, 195 and 355) the GEM120 mixer has a standard #12 power hub, compatible with a wide variety of power attachments.
