This saw features a measuring plate to gauge the thickness of your cut meat and a sliding product feed table; both of these features accelerate your production. The entire saw is constructed of heavy-duty steel; the "food zones" of the bandsaw are stainless steel. This bandsaw uses a 124"-long,.75"-wide cutting blade powered by a 2-horsepower motor. In any sort of meat processing operation, worker safety is paramount, and this band saw features numerous safeguards: there are safety sensors on both upper and lower doors so that electricity is cut off when the doors open; similarly, removing the blade guard will kill the motor and there is an all-purpose, easily accessible "kill switch" to cut the motor. If there's a power outage a built in breaker prevents motor restarting automatically when the power comes back on.
