The 304 series stainless steel is made for durability and is easy to clean, with an indefinite life of product. The steel of the tray takes in the ambient heat from the dehydrator and uses this heat throughout the product being dried. This model has upgraded shelving from shelves typically used. The tray has many perforations which allow for substantially more air circulation around the product being dehydrated. Keep products from sticking to the surface by spraying and wiping a small coating of Peel-Ease or place a plastic drying screen on the tray.
